So here at Puppies Up North, we love our puppies and parents to experience all types of activities.  They are run around our farm, and our farm also changes…we plant corn and beans…we have a pond, we have woods and fields.  However there are some times we like to take them out and about…we want them to be well socialized when they go to your home.

I use the Life’s Abundance Soothing Mist just before we take our dogs to the fireworks.  This Soothing Mist has aloe vera, marigold, lavender and chamomile as ingredients in each bottle.  The ingredient of lavender is a calming agent.  I simple spray on to my hand and pet my dogs just before going to the fireworks.

While sitting getting ready to watch the fireworks, I talk them through each firework…”ooo, ahhh…isn’t that pretty” in a really light happy voice.  “oh, that one was loud!”  as the big boom happens.  I hold the puppy / dog and am very calm myself because puppies / dogs can pick up when you are nervous…so stay calm and relaxed…make it a really happy time…my dogs love to go with us and fireworks are not scary for them…try it this summer!
